Leandro Rodriguez has joined Brentford on loan.
The Uruguayan frontman, 23, has just one senior appearance for the Blues but has figured regularly for the developmental Under-21 squad.
He signed for Everton from River Plate Montevideo last summer, but is eager to continue his education in the Championship.
"I am very happy to be at Brentford,” he said. “Without doubt, it is a good club to be at to play football and hopefully get some good results. I want to play well and help the team, but also improve myself as a footballer and get better individually.
"I have had to adapt to a lot of the changes quite quickly - the weather being a big difference, but also the culture and the people.
"I think in the game itself, there are a few differences between the styles in different leagues. In England the pitches seem to make the ball a lot quicker, meaning you have to be better in possession, but I feel I can handle it."
Rodriguez makes the one-month switch to Griffin Park with the west London outfit currently sitting 17th in the table. They entertain Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
