Joe Royle and Ian Snodin will kick-off a series of exclusive events hosted by the Everton Fans’ Forum in 2016.
The Fans’ Forum Presents
evenings will see Forum members joined by a Club Legend, a current player, member of the coaching staff or a famous fan as they recall their best moments in a blue shirt and discuss all things Everton.
The first Fans’ Forum Presents
event takes place on Tuesday 15 March 2016 at 7pm with Everton Giant Joe Royle and Club Ambassador Ian Snodin.
Royle, who has returned to the Club as the Professional Development Coordinator, will be on hand to discuss his career, the current first team squad as well his role in helping develop Everton’s exciting crop of young players. Royle was the proud holder of the record as the youngest player to figure in the Everton first-team following his appearance at the tender age of 16 against Blackpool in 1966. As a fans’ favorite he scored 119 goals in 273 games for his beloved Blues. Joe returned to the Club as manager in 1995 to steer the Club to FA Cup glory.
Club Ambassador Ian Snodin made 190 appearances for Everton, which included winning the League title before moving on to Oldham in 1994. The Yorkshireman now represents the Club as an Ambassador and is no stranger to telling a few interesting tales on his playing career and his spell in charge of Doncaster Rovers.
Tickets for the event, which will take place at The People’s Club Lounge at Goodison Park, are FREE and due to demand will be allocated on a random basis. The evening will include:
- A Pie and a bottle Chang on arrival
- A Q&A with Joe Royle and Ian Snodin
- A raffle on behalf of Everton in the Community with signed Everton memorabilia as prizes
- Cash bar throughout the evening
Nick Mernock, Chair of the Everton Fans’ Forum said: “We look forward to hosting the ‘Fans’ Forum Presents’ evenings at Goodison Park and are delighted to have secured Joe Royle and Ian Snodin for the first event. The idea of the Fans’ Forum Presents
came about through our Events Project Group meetings where we discussed how good it would be to have an event put on by the fans for the fans. We will be going out on social media to ask fans for questions for our guests and for those lucky enough to be there on the night they can ask their question in person. We have decided on a free event as we want to make the evenings as inclusive as possible, however we expect demand to be high so we encourage fans to register for their tickets early.”
To register for your place at the Fans’ Forum Presents
on Tuesday 15 March at The People’s Lounge please fill in the form below by 5pm on Thursday 10 March. Due to high demand successful entrants will be selected at random and will be informed by Friday 11 March.
