Training Trip Helps Oumar

Welcome, Marco!

Everything you need to know about the new boss here.

Oumar Niasse is delighted with how he has been welcomed in at the football club - and believes the warm-weather trip to Dubai will help him feel even more settled as part of the Everton ‘family’.

The striker made his debut from the substitutes’ bench at Bournemouth on Saturday, three weeks after completing his transfer from Lokomotiv Moscow.

Niasse played the final nine minutes at Dean Court, replacing goalscorer Romelu Lukaku up top.

He has now travelled with the squad to the UAE and could be in line for a Premier League bow when the Blues head to Villa Park next Tuesday evening.

“Everything is going well for me,” Niasse told evertontv. “We will go [to Dubai] for five or six days, where I will spend time with the players, talk with them and train with them. They will learn more about me and I will learn more about them.

“Afterwards, when we come back, we will be focused on the league and I know I will feel like I’m inside the family.”
