Gareth Barry’s excellent form has earned him the Everton Player of the Month prize for December.
The midfielder has been an ever-present for the Blues in the Premier League during 2015/16 and is on course to reach a career total of 600 top-flight appearances before the end of the season.
Barry starred seven times for Everton during December, helping the team achieve victories over Middlesbrough and Newcastle United.
The 34-year-old’s good work has continued into the start of 2016 and he attracted particular praise in the Capital One Cup semi-final first leg victory over Manchester City.
Following Barry’s display against his former employers, Toffees boss Roberto Martinez labelled him as ‘one of the best English players ever’.
The midfielder told evertontv: "It's always pleasing to receive personal accolades and it's nice to know what you are doing is being appreciated. The team did well as well, which is the most important thing."
Barry collected his accolade at a lunch at Liverpool's Hilton Hotel on Wednesday from Paul Bibby from sponsors MSB Solicitors.
