Everton Football Club have teamed up with a new and exciting digital UK start-up called Wakelet.
The Blues’ official Wakelet channel, launched earlier this week, will provide fans around the world with an easy and enriching way to access content about the Club online.
Starting with a new weekly feature entitled ‘Best Of The Web’, the Toffees aim to use Wakelet to gather articles and media from the rest of the internet and host them in a simple-to-use categorised fashion.
The Club’s Head of Content, Scott McLeod, said: "We're always looking for ways to provide our fans with a better experience and make it easy for them to enjoy and share Everton-related content.
"We've got lots of interesting information and media going out across different channels, but sometimes it can be very hard to go back in time and find this content online. Wakelet is a great way of organising all of this content and makes sure that fans can find it all in one place"
What is Wakelet?
Wakelet is a free content curation platform that allows people to organise links that they find online into stunning and shareable collections, which can be shared or embedded.
The visual platform allows anyone to curate links to articles, videos, images, sound files and websites on any topic they like, it's easy and straight forward, and the content is stunning.
If you find a collection (called a 'Wake') that you're interested in, you can subscribe and receive updates as new items are added to it. You can also follow people or company profiles to receive notifications on all of their activity.
