Ladies Name Turner Prize Winner

Danielle Turner has won the Everton Ladies Player of the Season award.

The versatile left-sider was chosen by manager Andy Spence after a consistent run of form for the Blues following her return from a lengthy injury.

Having missed the entire 2013 FAWSL campaign, Turner became a fixture in the side in 2014. Playing at both left-back and left wing, she made 21 appearances in all competitions.

Her performances were rewarded with a new two-year contract in December 2014, and Turner has carried her consistency into the current campaign, with three goals in nine outings.

“I am absolutely delighted to win this award," said Turner. "I want to thank my team-mates and the staff at Everton for their support. Andy has had a massive influence on my career - he gave me a chance when I was playing Development Squad football.

“I am so proud to win this award and it is one that I will treasure."

The Everton Ladies Player of the Year award was sponsored by Keppie Massie Residential.
