What The Papers Say - 28 April

James McCarthy spoke to the national newspapers after Sunday's win against Manchester United and he outlines how happy he is at Everton.

The Daily MailDaily StarDaily MirrorGuardian and Daily Express all feature the midfielder discussing his plans for a summer training regime to ensure he stays clear of injury. The Irish international also talks about being 'let off the leash' in recent games.

Elsewhere, Leighton Baines tells the Liverpool Echo that Steven Pienaar still has a major part to play at Everton despite injuries restricting the midfielder to just 11 appearances this term.

Ian Snodin writes in his weekly Echo column that he could sense an Everton performance ahead of kick-off against Manchester United.

The Daily Mirror link the Toffees to Bayern Munich winger Mitchell Weiser, who is out of contract in the summer, while another tabloid says Roberto Martinez is monitoring Genk's Kara Mbodj.

And the Daily Mail lists Everton as one of several sides potentially interested in taking Patrick Bamford on loan from Chelsea next term.
