Conor Grant and Conor McAleny will benefit thoroughly from their respective loan spells, says Under-21s coach David Unsworth.
Midfielder Grant has headed north of the border to Scottish Premier League side Motherwell and scored a stunning free-kick on his debut in a 3-2 defeat to Ross County onSaturday.
Meanwhile, striker McAleny has dropped down a division to the Championship and linked up with Cardiff City, with both players staying at their respective clubs until the end of the current campaign.
And Unsworth insists they have made shrewd moves as they continue their development towards the Everton first team.
“I am delighted for them,” he told evertontv. “Both have been crying out to go on loan. For Conor Grant this is his first experience of going out on loan.
“He has gone to a really good club, at a good level, with a manager who I know personally. Ian Baraclough is a really good guy and tries to play football the right way so we are delighted as a Club that Conor has gone up there for the rest of the campaign.
“I am sure he will do very well.
“Conor McAleny has had a couple of injuries that he is now fully over and I expect him to put in some great performances – he just needs that little bit of luck not to get injured.
“Hopefully he can get a run of games now until the end of the season. He is a top, top player and I am sure he will score a lot of goals.”
