Everton Under-21 striker Courtney Duffus has joined Bury on loan.
The powerful frontman marked his 19th birthday with a move to the League Two club, where he is is set to remain until early January.
Duffus joined Everton in 2012 and has progressed from the Under-18 side to David Unsworth’s Under-21 set-up.
Bury, managed by David Flitcroft, are away at Southend on Saturday as they look to build on an impressive start to their league campaign which sees them fourth in the table.
The Shakers boss has voiced his delight at landing another young Blue on loan, having worked with Hallam Hope last season.
Flitcroft said: "Courtney is a player we have watched for a while now. We get out to a lot of games and he caught the eye a few weeks ago. We tracked him again last week against a good Wigan Athletic side where he scored a very good goal.
"He has pace, power and wants to run in from behind and hurt other sides. Everton were very happy with the way we looked after Hallam last season and were more than happy for Courtney to come here on loan to learn. Courtney is very mature for his age and is a player that I am really looking forward to working with."
