With the international break still in full flow, there is limited Everton coverage in Saturday's newspapers.

England's John Stones is the focus of one story in the Daily Mirror, however, with Blues teammate Leon Osman tipping the defender and fellow Goodison starlet Ross Barkley to be mainstays of the Three Lions side for years to come.

In the Liverpool Echo, Roberto Martinez discusses why he feels midfielder Darron Gibson may have returned to fitness at just the right time, while the paper also covers the news that Romelu Lukaku (toe) is facing a race against time to be ready for next weekend's trip to West Bromwich Albion.

Gibson's Republic of Ireland teammate Seamus Coleman sat out a 2-0 friendly win over Oman on Wednesday but is quoted in the Daily Star talking up the importance of another victory in Sunday's opening European Championship qualifier against Georgia.

Finally, the Liverpool Echo also report that Everton are encouraging supporters to use the absence of Premier League football this weekend to support local non-league sides.
