Garbutt's England Win

Luke Garbutt played the full 90 minutes as England Under-21s beat Lithuania 1-0 in a European Championship qualifier on Friday evening.

Fellow defender Gethin Jones also completed the entire match as Wales Under-21s drew 2-2 in Finland, while forward Sam Byrne was an unused substitute in the Republic of Ireland's 2-0 defeat in Germany.

Garbutt managed to complete a full game for the first time this term, having previously struggled with a groin injury he sustained in pre-season.

A goal from Tottenham's Harry Kane with just nine minutes remaining was enough to secure victory for Gareth Southgate's Three Lions, who next face Moldova on Tuesday.

Jones' Wales, meanwhile, came from behind to lead, but were rocked by a Finnish equaliser three minutes from time.

Elsewhere, it was a memorable night for midfielder Callum Connolly, who netted his first two goals for England Under-18s. Everton's Ryan Ledson and Jonjoe Kenny also started as Neil Dewsnip's side recorded an impressive 3-1 win.
