International Blues

Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas have flown out to Brussels for Belgium's game against Australia but only one of the Blues duo is set to feature in the friendly.

Mirallas will hope to have impressed national boss Marc Wilmots with his performance and goal against Chelsea, but striker Lukaku will sit out the contest having played at Goodison despite a toe injury.

Leighton Baines, Phil Jagielka and John Stones are training with England ahead of Wednesday’s friendly against Norway at Wembley. Stones in particular will hope to seize any chance given by manager Roy Hodgson as the European Championship qualifier against Switzerland could provide the 20-year-old’s competitive international debut.

Elsewhere, Muhamed Besic is part of the Bosnia-Herzegovina squad for games against Liechtenstein and Cyprus, while loanee Christian Atsu will hope to feature against Uganda and Togo.

Everton's Ireland quartet have flown to Dublin for their game against Oman on Wednesday. Seamus Coleman, James McCarthy, Darron Gibson and Aiden McGeady will then head to Georgia for Sunday's Euro qualifier.

The in-form Steven Naismith will be on the goal trail once again as Scotland tackle Germany in a tough qualifier in Dortmund, while there also is a host of youth international call-ups.

Luke Garbutt is with England Under-21s for European Championship qualifying group games against Lithuania and Moldova overseas, while summer recruit Sam Byrne is with the Republic of Ireland Under-21s for a clash with Germany in Halle.

Gethin Jones will be part of the Wales Under-21 squad for games in Finland and Lithuania, while striker Chris Long is with England Under-20s as they face Romania in Telford.

Brendan Galloway is among the Young Lions' Under-19s for a game in Oberhausen, Germany, while there are also call-ups at the same level for James Graham, Jindrich Stanek and Harry Charsley for Wales, Czech Republic and Ireland respectively.

There are also three young Blues heading to Bury with England Under-18s. Ryan Ledson, Jonjoe Kenny and Callum Connolly could all face the Netherlands on Friday evening.
