Boss Still Considering Henen

by Adam Clark @efc_adamclark

Everton boss Roberto Martinez says he is still keen on bringing David Henen to Goodison Park – but has reiterated that any deal would see the teenager link up with the Club's Under-21s.

The 18-year-old Anderlecht forward has been on Martinez's radar for much of the summer but a switch to Merseyside is yet to be finalised.

"With David, it's a different situation," said the Blues boss on Thursday. "He's a young man who we feel has really good potential and who could fit really well in our structure.

"At the moment there's nothing done but it's something we may consider over the next two to three weeks.

"He's someone whose potential we recognise but he wouldn't be a player going into the first-team. He would go into the development squad to make sure he had a real future with the Club."
