Over 200 Evertonians joined Club legends Graeme Sharp and Ian Snodin in a packed-out People’s Club at Goodison Park on Saturday for a live screening of the Blues’ friendly against SC Paderborn.
Before kick-off, those in attendance were treated to German-themed food, a performance from Liverpool-based band Uke Box and an exclusive showing of the squad taking part in the crossbar challenge – with Leon Osman the special guest presenter of the video!
Sharp and Snodin then took their places on stage to take part in a Q&A session with host Alan Irwin where they offered their thoughts on all things Everton, including the permanent captures of Romelu Lukaku and Gareth Barry. They also shared their experiences of their visit to Thailand last month.
At half-time, fans enjoyed a German pretzel and listened to Sharp and Snodin dissect the 45 minutes of the match action, before being given the opportunity to put their own questions to our very own commentary team of Darren Griffiths and Graham Stuart who were broadcasting live from the Benteler Arena.
The afternoon’s activities were rounded off with post-match analysis from the Blues duo before they helped to draw a raffle, from which all proceeds went to the Club’s official charity, Everton in the Community.
Fans present at Saturday’s event were selected at random after completing an online form to register their interest in attending the screening.
