Everton winger Matthew Kennedy has today signed for Hibernian on loan until January.

The 19-year-old, an August 2012 arrival from Kilmarnock, links up with former Blues Under-21 manager Alan Stubbs who is now boss of the Scottish Championship outfit.

Kennedy spent time on loan in England last season, turning out for League One sides Tranmere Rovers and MK Dons.

The Scotland Under-21 international will now help Hibernian in their quest to bounce back to the SPL at the first time of asking, before returning to Goodison Park on 4 January 2015.
