Luke Garbutt will be assessed by Everton’s medical team after Roberto Martinez revealed the left-back suffered a slight groin complaint in Sunday’s friendly against Leicester City.
The England Under-21 international was withdrawn at half-time in the 1-0 defeat to the Foxes.
But Martinez’s initial indication is that Garbutt's injury is not too serious.
“The only negative is Luke Garbutt who attempted to block a ball and felt a little bit of a tweak in his groin,” Martinez told evertontv.
“It’s too early [to determine the severity of the injury] and we took him off straight away at half-time. We are going to assess him now and I don’t think it is going to be anything long-term.
“We are going to see how the next 24 hours go and we’ll look after him on the flight. I don’t think it is anything serious.”
