Naismith V Stones: Day Nine

by Daniel Alston @efc_danalston

Each day throughout the group stages of Brazil 2014, Steven Naismith and John Stones are doing battle in an attempt to show off their World Cup nous.

The duo are on a mission to correctly guess every result – with the most accurate set to be crowned Everton's champion predictor.

And it's Naismith who has pushed ahead after a high-scoring Day Eight.

Three points are awarded for a correct scoreline and one for a correct result.

Both men predicted the goalless draw between Japan and Greece, but it was the Scot who would tip Uruguay to overcome England by two goals to one.

Can Stones close the gap with his backing of Italy or Ecuador?

Find out below and keep checking evertonfc.com or our official Twitter and Facebook pages each day throughout the tournament to chart their progress.
