Aiden McGeady was part of the Ireland side which suffered a heavy defeat to Portugal on Tuesday night.
The Everton winger started for Martin O’Neill’s side as they lost 5-1 to the World Cup-bound Portuguese.
Shane Duffy missed out on the match with a calf problem.
Portugal took the lead after just two minutes when Hugo Almeida grabbed the first of his two goals.
A Richard Keogh own goal on 20 minutes doubled the lead before Almeida’s second.
Wigan’s James McLean pulled one back for Ireland after the break but Portugal closed out the match strongly, with goals from Vieirinha and Fabio Coentrao.
McGeady had departed before the final two goals having got 76 minutes of action.
