Two Everton youngsters have helped England Under-17s reach the final of the European Championships.

Ryan Ledson and Jonjoe Kenny have played in all four of the Young Lions’ matches at the tournament so far and are bracing themselves for Wednesday’s showdown against Holland.

During their stay in Malta, the pair have been blogging for evertonfc.com - with skipper Ledson providing the latest update from within the England camp.

I've been doing a bit of media ahead of tonight's final. There was a press conference on Tuesday with UEFA, Maltese TV channels and a few other broadcasters.

I find it quite natural - it's just answering questions about football really, but I don't think some of the people can understand my accent though!

I have to start trying to speak a bit slower but I can't help it sometimes.

We're feeling confident ahead of the final, despite losing to Holland in our last group game.

We know what they're about now. They didn't make as many changes as we did for that match, so we know their team and what they're going to play like.

They're a good attacking side, but defensively we feel like we can get at them.

We've been playing at the national stadium which holds about 18,000. The pitches are great, just like back at home.

I think there were a few thousand in there for our games and we're expecting a good crowd for the final.

I spoke to Ross Barkley and Luke Garbutt before the tournament. They were part of the England Under-17s team that won it in Liechtenstein in 2010.

They told us to just try our best to go and win it, so Jonjoe and I want to do what Ross and Garbs achieved.

I've also stayed in touch with a few of my Everton Under-18 teammates since being out here. I spoke to them when they won the league on Sunday and it was great to congratulate them. They wished us all the best as well.

We've had a bit of a lie-in today and we'll go through the set-pieces before heading out for a little walk.

In the afternoon, we'll get our heads down for a couple of hours to rest and after the pre-match meal we'll leave for the game.

We're all looking forward to it. We think it'll be a good one - the Netherlands are a good side and hopefully it'll be a good one for everyone to watch live on Eurosport!

Ryan
