Seamus Coleman, Aiden McGeady and Shane Duffy have been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for the four upcoming friendlies.

However, James McCarthy is not included in the 29-man group.

Martin O’Neill’s side host Turkey on May 25 before facing Italy at Craven Cottage on May 31.

Ireland then travel to the United States where they play Costa Rica in Philadelphia on June 6 and Portugal in New Jersey on June 10.

Speaking about his squad selection, O'Neill said: “I am looking forward to working with the players over the coming weeks which will be important as we work towards our opening qualification matches in September.

"The matches will be about getting to know the players better and changing them around a little bit in terms of personnel in different matches."
