Boss: Most Exciting Season

Roberto Martinez has labelled 2013/14 as the most exciting season in the Premier League’s 22-year history.

With two rounds of fixtures left to play, nothing has yet been decided at either the top or bottom of the table.

Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea are all challenging for the title, while Arsenal and Everton remain in the hunt for the fourth and final Champions League place.

The Blues need one more point to secure a Europa League spot, where they could be joined by Tottenham Hotspur or Manchester United.

And at the foot of the table, nine clubs are yet to reach the 'magic' 40-point mark – but all could still preserve their top-flight status.

Martinez told evertontv: “We have always had exciting Premier Leagues but it’s always been at one area of the table.

“It could be a survival battle or a title battle, but to have it everywhere in the table where it is down to small margins, I think it is fair to say that this has been the most impressive season.

“And, from our point of view, we are right in the middle of that fight to get into the Champions League with fourth position.

“It is a remarkable to be in that position to mathematically get into that place with two games to go.

“What we need to do is take that fight until the very last second and that is what we are determined to do.”
