Gareth Barry today collected his prize for being named Everton's Player of the Month for February.

The midfielder, on loan from Manchester City, attended a special lunch at Liverpool's Hilton Hotel to receive a trophy and a watch.

It is the first time the 33-year-old has won the prize.

A tricky month for the Blues brought unfortunate London defeats at both Chelsea and Tottenham. However, Barry was dependable as ever in the heart of midfield and more than played his part in a 2-1 league win over his former side Aston Villa and the 3-1 FA Cup fifth round defeat of Swansea City.

Barry's four February appearances took his tally of outings for the Blues to 27 and, such was his form, many were backing the 53-cap international to be recalled to the England set-up for their 5 March friendly against Denmark.

Tickets for Everton's Player of the Month lunches are sold out for the remainder of the 2013/14 campaign, however 2014/15 Player of the Month Season Tickets are available to buy now. For more information about our Player of the Month lunches or to buy a Season Ticket, click here.
