Jags Out, Baines Is Skipper

by Matthew Gamble @efc_mattgamble

Phil Jagielka misses out on Everton's FA Cup quarter final game at Arsenal with a hamstring problem.

Jagielka's place in the back four is again taken by John Stones, who deputised in the 1-0 win over West Ham last weekend.

The captain's armband is taken by Leighton Baines with Leon Osman dropping to the bench to allow Ross Barkley a start.

In goal, Joel Robles takes over from Tim Howard as he has in previous FA Cup games this season.

And Belgian pair Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas are also back in the side, replacing Gerard Deulofeu and Steven Naismith - both of whom are among the substitutes.

Aiden McGeady, Tony Hibbert and youngster Tyias Browning are also on the bench.

Everton: Joel, Baines (c), Mirallas, Distin, McCarthy, Lukaku, Barry, Barkley, Pienaar, Coleman, Stones. Subs: Hibbert, McGeady, Deulofeu, Naismith, Osman, Howard, Browning.

Arsenal: Fabianski, Sagna, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Arteta, Flamini, Ozil, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Cazorla, Sanogo. Subs: Viviano, Jenkinson, Rosicky, Ryo, Podolski, Giroud, Gnabry.
