Everton officials are urging supporters who are planning to attend Saturday’s home Premier League fixture against West Ham United to buy their tickets as soon as possible.

Seats are selling at a brisk rate for the visit of the East London side who have climbed into mid-table with some positive results since the turn of the year.

The Hammers recorded a 3-1 win over Southampton on Saturday but travel to Merseyside having suffered a number of heavy defeats at Goodison during the Premier League era.

They were thrashed 6-0 in 1999, dismantled 5-0 in 2001, dispatched 3-1 in 2009 and beaten 2-0 last season.
