Roberto Martinez says Lacina Traore has a chance of making the travelling party for the weekend game at Spurs.

Gerard Deulofeu will also be part of the squad, with Seamus Coleman returning to the fold as well.

But Romelu Lukaku and Antolin Alcaraz are out.

“Seamus Coleman has come through training really well,” Martinez confirmed at his pre-match press conference on Friday morning.

“Antolin is going to be out of the weekend but it’s nothing to be worried about, it’s just trying to get him back to full fitness and Romelu Lukaku is going to be out this weekend and probably the week after, so it’s a couple of weeks for him, I don’t expect it to be any longer.”

Traore has stepped up his training after arriving on loan from Monaco and is an outside chance to make the matchday squad this weekend.

"He has got a chance ," confirmed Martinez.

"Lacina is progressing really well. I just need to assess if it's wise or not to give him playing time. he is fully fit from a medical point of view, it's just a matter of giving him the right playing time over the next two or three weeks because the last thing we want is him to push himself and suffer as a result of trying to get the tempo and physicality of the premier league."

The Blues boss added that  Deulofeu would be a part of the squad and was 'desperate' to get back involved.

Long term absentees Darron Gibson, Arouna Kone and Bryan Oviedo remain sidelined.
