Roberto Martinez says Aston Villa's cavalier approach will make for an entertaining clash at Goodison on Saturday.
The Blues welcome the Midlanders for a 3pm kick-off, with Paul Lambert's men fresh off the back of a thrilling 4-3 victory over West Brom in midweek.
That win has lifted the Villans to 10th in the table and adds to their scalps of Arsenal and Manchester City this term.
But with 10 league defeats already after 23 games, there are frailties for the Blues to expose this weekend.
And Martinez is targeting the remaining home fixtures as ideal opportunities to build on an already impressive points tally of 42.
He said: "We've got seven games left at Goodison and we want to try and take advantage of that.
"Aston Villa wil be a team coming here to win. They're not a side to try and just nick a point.
"They're a team full of bravery, energy and attacking threat. We'll be aware of that but it's about ourselves.
"I think if you want to assess Aston Villa over the course of this season, they've had some real highs and some real lows.
"What they always do is prepare. They don't carry effects from game to game. They have a dynamic group of players and they come here with a different focus to midweek.
"You need to praise the way they play and open games which leads to chances for both sides. What you always get with Villa is they will always be in the game.
"We're at home and we had a disappointing defeat on Tuesday, but we're going to bounce back in front of our fans and make sure we cure each other's feelings by performing at the standards we have shown this season."
