Player Of The Month Revealed

by Matthew Gamble @efc_mattgamble

Seamus Coleman has been named Everton’s Player of the Month for December.

The Irishman has been the Blues' standout performer this term with last month a particularly impressive period for the right-back.

He played every minute of Everton’s six games, scoring three times. After a relative tap-in against Fulham, he produced two brilliant goals in winning efforts at Swansea and at home to Southampton.

Coleman was presented with his award at the Club’s monthly lunch at Liverpool’s Hilton hotel.

After receiving the award from Ian Harvey of event sponsors Williams BMW, Coleman discussed his recent exploits during a Q and A session before posing for photos with diners.

“I am delighted to be getting on the scoresheet. I like to get forward as much as I can and, with the football we are playing, we have a lot of the ball and I am getting chances,” he told at the end of last month.

“We just want to keep going the way we are going. We have been playing well and getting good results, so we’re looking forward to the games ahead.”
