Kevin Mirallas is poised to take the second half of the season by storm.
That’s the view of Blues boss Roberto Martinez, who has seen the Belgian winger turn in two top performances in his last two league games.
Mirallas kicked off 2014 by striking the woodwork with two vicious long range strikes at Stoke before curling home a sumptuous free-kick against Norwich.
And there’s even more to come according to Martinez.
The boss told evertontv: “His overall contributions against Stoke and Norwich were of the highest standard and I do feel he is going to get stronger and better because he is a very fit footballer and the more the season goes on, the sharper he gets.
“Kevin has been working really hard. He is one of those players who will benefit in the second half of the season from all the work he did in pre-season.
“He is now probably reaching his peak; physically when he is at his best, it is difficult to stop him.
“It is really exciting to see how he finishes the final third of the season.”
