Kennedy Heads To Tranmere

by Daniel Alston @efc_danalston

Matthew Kennedy has joined Tranmere Rovers on a one-month loan.

The Everton Under-21s winger is the latest young Blue to seek further footballing experience and joins Matthew Pennington at the local League One outfit.

Kennedy, signed from Kilmarnock in the summer of 2012, has made seven appearances for the Under-21s this term and has one goal to his name.

He could feature when the Wirral outfit entertain Walsall at Prenton Park on Saturday.

The 19-year-old is the latest member of Alan Stubbs’ side to seal a short-term switch away from Finch Farm and gain the opportunity to play first team football.

John Lundstram and Shane Duffy are both at Yeovil until the end of the season, while Luke Garbutt's latest loan extension at Colchester United runs for a further month.

Striker Hallam Hope and defender Pennington joined Northampton Town and Tranmere respectively on one-month deals at the start of January, while Francisco Junior remains with Vitesse Arnhem for the rest of this campaign.

And earlier this week, striker Chris Long joined MK Dons for an initial month.
