Boss: Enjoyment Is Key

by Daniel Alston @efc_danalston

Roberto Martinez believes his squad are able to flourish by playing with a smile.

Everton are into the fourth round of the FA Cup and resume league action this weekend aiming to rejoin the Champions League berths.

To date this term, the Blues have impressed pundits and fans alike, wowing Goodison and grounds on the road with vibrant and assured attacking displays.

Martinez has been keen to state his wish for players to enjoy and express themselves on the ball - a philosophy he feels can bear fruit for the Club.

He told evertontv: "I always feel that when you have such a talented squad as we have, unless you enjoy your football and what you are doing on the pitch, you will never show that talent.

"If you don't show the talent, it doesn't matter if you have better players or not.

"What's always important is that we all understand the team is the main aspect of what we do and we need to work hard for each other.

"But once we do that, we've got the right to be enjoying our football.

"And if we do that, we've got an extremely talented group of players and that talent will show."
