Wednesday's Daily Star says Everton boss Roberto Martinez has hinted he would like to keep winger Gerard Deulofeu on loan at Goodison Park for a second season.

The Spain Under-21s starlet joined the Blues from Barcelona in July but is currently set to return to the Nou Camp when the current campaign ends in May.

Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino has admitted he has been keeping close tabs on Deulofeu's impressive recent form for the Toffees but insists no decision has yet been made on where he will play his football next term.

In another tabloid, Tim Howard has revealed his aspirations to qualify for the Champions League and demanded the impressive performances away at Manchester United and Arsenal don't go to waste.

Meanwhile, in the Liverpool Echo, Blues boss Martinez says midfield pairing Gareth Barry and James McCarthy have given him the perfect blend of youth and experience.
