Everton have been drawn at home to Queens Park Rangers in the third round of this season's FA Cup.
The Toffees will face the Championship club on the weekend of 4 and 5 January, 2014.
Blues fans discovered their cup opponents during the first half of their Premier League fixture away to Arsenal, when the draw was made by former England international Teddy Sheringham and his son Charlie.
The tie, of course, will be Roberto Martinez's first in the competition since the Spaniard lifted the trophy at Wembley back in May when his former side Wigan Athletic triumphed 1-0 over Manchester City.
Everton ran out 2-0 winners in their previous home game against QPR in April. The Blues also emerged victorious by the same margin when the two sides last met in the FA Cup - back in January 1950.
Ticket details for the game will be announced in due course.
