Everton’s famous 1-0 win at Old Trafford is the talk of Thursday’s tabloids and broadsheets after the Blues last night triumphed at the home of the champions.

The Daily Mail’s account of the game said the travelling Evertonians ‘rejoiced’ as they won at Old Trafford for the first time since 1992.

The Independent’s match report references that the delirious Toffees fans chanted ‘Oviedo Baby’ at the tops of their voices at the full-time whistle in appreciation of the match-winner’s contribution

Elsewhere, the Daily Telegraph claim that there could be ‘no denying the quality’ of Roberto Martinez’s team.

Indeed, the Blues Spanish boss has told the Daily Star that the manner of Everton’s victory gives a ‘real indication’ of what can be achieved this season.

In the Daily Mirror, David Moyes admits that losing to his former club was a ‘sore one’ to take.

The Liverpool Echo contains post-match reaction from hero Oviedo. The Costa Rican, who notched his second goal in as many games, has told the paper that scoring his 86th-minute winner was the ‘best moment’ of his career.
