Man Utd &Amp; Arsenal Away Fan Info

by Matthew Gamble @efc_mattgamble

Next week sees two big away trips for Evertonians.

They will first travel to Manchester United on Wednesday evening before heading to Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

The club has received some important information regarding both games, designed to make the away day experiences as enjoyable as possible for supporters.

Manchester United v Everton - 4 December 2013 - 7.45pm kick-off

  • None of the pubs close to Old Trafford are recommended for away supporters.
  • Supporters are advised to remain in the city centre before taking the Metro-Link to either Old Trafford (Cricket Ground) or Exchange Quay. The walk to the ground is approximately 10 minutes.
  • Alternatively, supporters can take bus numbers 252-257 inclusive, plus 17, 114 and 236 from Manchester Piccadilly to Old Trafford.
  • The entrance to the stadium is at the corner of the East and South stands and is accessed through gates E30 and S22.
  • The immediate area outside the stadium is an alcohol free zone.
  • Supporters should allow sufficient time to enter the stadium as there will be searching on the turnstiles, particularly as a result of the smoke bombs ignited by some Everton supporters at away matches this season.
  • The game is a sell-out and fans are asked not to travel without a valid match ticket.
Arsenal v Everton - 8 December 2013 - 4pm kick-off
  • The recommended tube stations for the Emirates Stadium are Arsenal (Piccadilly Line), Holloway Road (Piccadilly Line) and Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line).
  • The designated pub for away fans is the Drayton Arms (N5 1NG)
  • Supporters should allow enough time to enter the stadium as searching will be taking place because of the smoke bombs.
  • The away fans entrance is directly opposite the Clock End bridge from Drayton Park Road.
  • Arsenal run a permit scheme whereby a permit is required to gain entry to parking at the Emirates Stadium for minibuses or coaches. Permits are issued via email along with parking directions and timings on receipt of a completed request form. This information is required within seven days of the fixture so fans have until Sunday to send in requests. Please send this form back to Gillian Bragg, Arsenal FC, Highbury House, 75 Drayton Park, London N5 1BU or email it to or fax it to 020 7704 4451.
  • The game is a sell-out and fans are asked not to travel without a valid match ticket.
