What The Papers Say - 28 November

by Daniel Alston @efc_danalston

Thursday's newspapers turn their attention to the weekend's fixtures, as Everton host Stoke City.

Roberto Martinez tells the Liverpool Echo that competition for places is bringing the best out of Kevin Mirallas.

Phil Jagielka appears in the same paper discussing his hopes for fellow defender Leighton Baines to return from his broken toe as soon as possible, while Kevin Sheedy praises his Under-18s side following their derby victory on Tuesday.

The Liverpool Post, meanwhile, claim Tony Hibbert is set to be offered a new deal at Goodison, with Seamus Coleman describing his teammates' return to fitness as ideal motivation to keep performing.
