John Lundstram is set to join Yeovil Town on loan.
The midfielder, 19, moves to the Glovers on a deal that will initially run until 1 January, 2014.
In joining Yeovil, Lundstram is reunited with Everton teammate Shane Duffy, who has also been on loan at the Championship club since the end of September.
Lundstram’s switch is the second temporary move of his career after he spent the last three months of the 2012/13 campaign with Doncaster Rovers.
The England youth international made 14 appearances for the Yorkshire outfit last season and helped them win the League One title.
He returned to Everton in the summer and has since been a regular for Alan Stubbs’ Under-21s side this season.
However, Lundstram now believes the move to Yeovil represents the perfect opportunity to gain more Football League experience.
He told evertonfc.com: "I really enjoyed my loan spell at Doncaster last season and now is probably the right time to go back out and play some competitive football again.
"It's a chance to step up and play in the Championship, so I'm really excited and I'll look to build on the experience I got last season.
"I've been down to see Yeovil a couple of times already this season because of Shane Duffy so I'm looking forward to getting involved myself now.
"I haven't had a chance to speak to Shane yet but I sent him a text this morning. I know he's enjoying it and I hope the move will work out well for me too."
Lundstram could make his Yeovil debut in their trip to Watford on Saturday, with the move agreed subject to paperwork.
