Ross Barkley, who could win his third England cap against Germany later this evening, has received more plaudits from Roberto Martinez in Tuesday’s papers.

In the Daily Mirror, the Blues boss says his midfielder is ‘as talented as anyone you see’ and that he possesses the technical attributes you would more associate with a Brazilian or Dutch footballer.

Martinez has also been speaking in the Liverpool Echo where he explains that he is not worried by Everton's failure to score in their last two matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace.

The same paper also includes feature interview with Everton Chief Executive Robert Elstone who has been outlining his vision for the Club and reflecting on the recent successes of the Toffees’ official charity, Everton in the Community.

Mr Elstone also discusses Everton’s ambitions to give supporters the best matchday experience possible whenever they visit Goodison Park.

With the build-up to the Merseyside derby increasing with each passing day, the Echo have interviewed former Blue Danny Cadamarteri, who lit up the meeting between the two clubs in October 1997.

Elsewhere, the Daily Star, Daily Express and The Times report that Phil Jagielka will return to the England side for the Wembley friendly against Germany.
