Seamus Strikes To Sink Spurs

@Everton

Just like this season, Goodison Park proved something of a fortress for Everton in 2010/11.

The Blues tallied an impressive 34 points at home en route to a seventh-place finish in the Premier League, with Tottenham Hotspur one of a whole host of clubs that were put to the sword on Merseyside that term.

Spurs visited Goodison just after the turn of the year and they made the trip back to the capital having suffered a 2-1 defeat.

Louis Saha fired Everton into an early lead, but Toffees were pegged back when Dutchman Rafael van der Vaart nodded Tottenham level with 11 minutes on the clock.

Chances were plentiful in an eventful encounter, but it was Seamus Coleman who grabbed the headlines a quarter of an hour before the end with a diving header.
