Everton are one of a number of Premier League clubs set to battle it out to sign MLS star Clint Dempsey on loan in January, reports today's Sunday People.
The forward is thought to be looking for a temporary switch back to the Premier League from Seattle Sounders, the side he joined from Tottenham Hotspur in August.
Spurs and another of Dempsey's former clubs, Fulham, are also reported to be interest in the 30-year-old USA international, scorer of 36 goals in 101 appearances for his country.
Sunday's papers also reflect on Everton's 2-1 win over Hull on Saturday and, in particular, the instant impact of fit-again substitute Steven Pienaar.

Finally, in his Daily Mail on Sunday column, Gary Neville suggests the loan system could be better used to nurture England's best young talents, citing Tom Cleverley's development under Blues boss Roberto Martinez during his time at Wigan Athletic as proof of its success.
