Alan Stubbs believes Monday's Under-21 fixture at Goodison can be special for fans and players alike.
The young Blues take on Manchester United in the 7pm kick-off, with admission completely free of charge.
And with the Gwladys Street End opened to accomodate supporters, Stubbs feels it presents a unique opportunity to experience one of the game’s famous stands.
"I think from the fans' point of view, it's great that they're allowed to come in for nothing,” Stubbs told evertontv.
"As a kid, the Gwladys was where I always wanted to be. It was famous for where all the chanting used to be and you used to see the rush of fans going down to the goal when we scored. That's obviously changed because it's all seated now, but the Gwladys still has a great name and is a great part of Everton history.
"There are people who specifically want to sit there. The fact the Club are opening it up, hopefully it's busy and it gives the players a real sense of what it's like in a real game, because that's ultimately what they're trying to achieve.
"That's probably the biggest thing they miss in playing in Under-21 games - big crowds which are realistic when going out on loan.
"If we can get a decent crowd in, a young crowd that could be quite noisy, and it's a good game to get the atmosphere going - that could be a great experience for the younger players."
Tickets to watch Stubbs’ side take on Manchester United Under-21s are completely free of charge for any supporter and can be obtained by visiting the Park End Box Office, Everton One, Everton Two or Park End Reception at Goodison Park from Thursday 10 October until just before kick-off on Monday 21 October.
The Matchday Ambassadors will also be handing out tickets to the Under-21s game ahead of the Blues’ Premier League fixture against Hull City on Saturday 19 October in the Everton Fan Zone.
Entry to the fixture is completely free for any Evertonian with a valid ticket. Season Ticket Holders can gain entry on production of their season card at the turnstile. All fans aged 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Please note any adults wanting to attend the game without a child can sit in the Upper Bullens Stand if they prefer.
