Darron Gibson has been named in the latest Republic of Ireland squad.
The midfielder had been in self-imposed international exile under Giovanni Trapattoni after the Italian called him up to the Euro 2012 squad and then failed to hand him any playing minutes.
But Trapattoni and Ireland parted company after the last round of internationals as their chances of reaching the World Cup in Brazil were all but extinguished.
Noel King is in temporary charge of the Irish side for qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Germany later this month and has named Gibson in an initial 26-man party.
Fellow Everton duo Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy are also in the squad.
