Everton captain Phil Jagielka is attending a special ‘ladies only’ lunch to help raise funds for two local breast cancer charities.
 
The Blues’ defensive rock will be the guest of honour at an exclusive Ladies Lunch at the Hilton Liverpool on Thursday 3 October, in aid of two local charities. The Lily Centre and Clatterbridge Hospital, which treated and helped two female members of staff to beat breast cancer in recent years.
 
The event, sponsored by Russell and Case Jewellers, Artdeco Make-up, Weightmans LLP and Pommery Champagne, will be hosted by Sky Sports News presenter Vicky Gomersall.

Of course, it also provides an opportunity for a select number of ‘Toffee Ladies’ to meet the Club’s new captain.
 
Speaking ahead of the lunch, Jagielka said: “As captain this year, it’s up to me to lead by example and get behind initiatives like Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
 
“I am really looking forward to the lunch and hope we can raise lots of money for the two local charities.”
 
The Ladies Lunch officially kicks-off Breast Cancer Awareness Month for the Club, which will see the Blues taking part in a number of initiatives to support the campaign.
 
There are a limited number of tickets available for the lunch, which cost just £55 each.
 
Proceedings will commence at 12.45pm on Thursday 3 October, with all guests receiving a complimentary glass of Champagne on arrival, a two-course lunch and the chance to meet Phil Jagielka.
 
During the Ladies Lunch, an exclusive raffle will be held with the top prize being a beautiful Russell and Case Mandarin Citrine cocktail stone, set into a sterling silver handmade bespoke ring.  Other prizes include a signed pair of Phil Jagielka’s boots and an overnight stay at the Hilton Liverpool, with all proceeds being donated to The Lily Centre and Clatterbridge Hospital.
