Sunday’s newspapers continue to reflect on the business that took place during the summer transfer window.

Gareth Barry was one of three new arrivals at Goodison Park on deadline day and he has been speaking in the Daily Star Sunday about how he has not yet given up hope of an England recall.

The Blues moved late on Monday to secure the services of Romelu Lukaku on a season-long loan from Chelsea. Former Manchester United and Aston Villa boss Ron Atkinson has told the Sunday Mirror that allowing the Belgian international to spend the 2013/14 campaign at Goodison Park could seriously harm Chelsea’s title challenge.

Victor Anichebe was one of two departures from Goodison late on deadline day, sealing a switch to West Bromwich Albion. Quotes from the Nigerian about his move to the Hawthorns feature in the Daily Star Sunday.

There is further analysis of Ross Barkley’s debut for England on Friday evening, with Sunday Times writer Jonathan Norcroft stating that that it is ‘clear the Three Lions shirt is going to fit the midfielder like a tailor-made suit’.

Elsewhere, well-respected Sunday Telegraph correspondent Henry Winter has interviewed former Everton defender David Unsworth on the strengths and flaws of English football and youth development.
