The views on this page are taken from the local and national media and do not necessarily reflect the views of Everton.Saturday's newspapers focus on today's clash with Cardiff City and possible comings and goings ahead of the impending transfer deadline. The Liverpool Echo report that Roberto Martinez has no concerns about picking midfielder Marouane Fellaini for the trip to South Wales, despite continuing speculation linking the Belgian with a move to Manchester United. In the same paper, Martinez also reiterates his wish to see the transfer window closed before each season starts. The Daily Mirror say Everton are considering a last-gasp swoop for Portuguese midfielder Diogo Viana. The 23-year-old plays for Gil Vincente in his homeland and scored in last week's game against Benfica. He is thought to be available for around £2.1million and is also said to be interesting Aston Villa. Meanwhile, the Guardian is one of a number of national newspapers reporting that Fellaini remains a target for Manchester United manager David Moyes, despite the Old Trafford outfit lodging bids for Roma's Daniele De Rossi and Athletic Bilbao's Ander Herrera.
