Everton have named the same starting XI for the third successive Premier League game.

Roberto Martinez made eight changes for the midweek win over Stevenage in the Capital One Cup but today's line-up is the same one that has tackled Norwich and West Brom earlier this season.

It means that Darron Gibson and Antolin Alcaraz are not ready to complete their returns from injury, while Tony Hibbert doesn't feature having played in midweek.

Leighton Baines plays at left-back and Marouane Fellaini in midfield despite reports claiming they wouldn't be part of the squad.

Gerard Deulofeu returns to the bench after his scoring effort in midweek.

Everton: Howard, Coleman, Baines, Distin, Jagielka, Osman, Fellaini, Barkley, Mirallas, Pienaar, Jelavic. Subs: Robles, Heitinga, Oviedo, Kone, Deulofeu, Naismith, Stones.

Cardiff: Marshall, Connolly, Taylor, Caulker, Turner, Whittingham, Medel, Campbell, Kim, Gunnarsson, Bellamy. Lewis, Hudson, Gestede, Noone, Mutch, Cowie, Maynard.
