Everton boss Roberto Martinez believes an unrivalled number of genuine title challengers makes this year's Barclays Premier League one of the most intriguing yet.
Three of last season's top four have switched their managers over the summer, while Martinez himself is a new face through the door at Goodison Park.
Such widespread change has had many observers predicting a wide open race for the top-flight crown.
And Martinez insists such unpredictability makes the Premier League the envy of other leading competitions around the world.
"I think it's fair to say this is the most exciting competition we've had for a long, long time," he said. "You're looking at at least five or six teams competing to win the title - something you're not going to see in any other top league around the world.
"I think the level of the newly promoted sides is getting better and better as well - I think the Championship is producing better and better sides, season after season. So you're not going to have easy games.
"The margins are getting smaller all the time and that's going to be great for the competition as a whole."
