What The Papers Say - 22 August

@Everton

The views on this page are taken from the local and national media and do not necessarily reflect the views of Everton.

Everton's next crest is the main talking point in today's Liverpool Echo after fans were told they will be given a massive say in how it looks.

Evertonians will be able to provide feedback on what they want to see on the crest and vote on their favourite designs.

The crest will then be unveiled in October and used from the start of the 2014/15 season. For more information, click here.

The same paper also carries a story about Everton loanee Gerard Deulofeu and how boss Roberto Martniez won’t rush the Spaniard as he adapts to life in English football.

Another excerpt from Howard Kendall’s autobiography ‘Love, Affairs and Marriage’ also runs in today's Echo.

Today’s national papers only offer a small amount of Everton talk, though one tabloid does link the Blues with a move for Blackpool midfielder Tom Ince.
