Gerard Deulofeu linked up with the Everton squad for the first time on Thursday.
The Spanish midfielder was signed on loan from Barcelona earlier this summer and has been enjoying an extended summer break after playing in the Under-20 World Cup.
But he is now refreshed and ready to go, taking part in his first few training sessions at Finch Farm before jetting off with his new teammates to the USA for a three-game tour.
News of Everton's capture of Deulofeu has sparked excitement among Blues fans with the 19-year-old widely rated as one of the continent's foremost young talents.
And boss Roberto Martinez is delighted to have his squad now fully assembled as pre-season cranks up a notch.
He told evertontv: "Gerard is joining us after his time in the World Cup with the Under-20s with Spain. He’s had a bit of time to refresh, to switch off, but I’m well aware that he hasn’t enjoyed that part.
"He’s been raring to come to Finch Farm and to get to know everyone."
