Thursday’s Daily Mail claims Everton are battling with West Bromwich Albion to sign Scott Sinclair from Manchester City.

Both clubs are said to be keen on a loan deal but last season’s Premier League runners-up are ready to sell the 24-year-old for around £5million.

In the local papers, Kevin Mirallas has been speaking about his aims for this season and how he is coming to terms with English football.

In the Liverpool Echo, the Belgian international says he wants to do ‘even better’ than the glimpses he showed last season.

The Echo have also reported on Conor Grant signing a professional contract. The 18-year-old put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with his boyhood club on Wednesday. Watch an evertontv interview with Grant here.

Meanwhile, the Daily Post have included a feature on Ross Barkley and how the 2013/14 season could be a breakthrough year for the fledgling midfielder.

The Post also report that Everton fans will get their first sighting of summer recruit Gerard Deulofeu against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon.
