Always one to show his true colours, boxer Tony Bellew has been trying on the new Everton 2013/14 home shirt for size.
And the diehard Blues supporter has given it the big thumbs up.
Everton will wear their new Nike strip for the first time on Sunday afternoon when they begin their pre-season campaign against Austria Vienna.
The kit goes on sale on Wednesday 24 July - but fans can make sure they are one of the first to wear it by pre-ordering now.
“It’s really nice, it’s a light feeling," said Bellew. "I’m sure the lads are going to enjoy wearing it and I like the design; it’s really nice and smart.
"Wearing the kit, as you look at it, I like the stripes especially. It’s exciting times ahead and the new kit makes it a bit better.
"I’m a proud Evertonian and I wear my colours with pride."
Bathed in sunshine, Goodison Park was at its picturesque best when Bellew visited last week.
Strolling around the Club’s famous old ground, ‘The Bomber’ could sense the excitement building ahead of the new season.
Bellew is hoping to set up a light-heavyweight world title fight with Adonis Stevenson before the end of the year – but he insists he will always find time in his training schedule to watch his beloved Blues in action.
He explained: “I can’t wait. I’ve missed the football and I’ve missed the coming to the game on a Saturday.
“I’ve missed the whole build up really, from watching Soccer AM in the morning to coming to the game and sitting with the boys, having a laugh and a joke and then watching the guys come out and doing their stuff.
“Roberto Martinez has come in and he’s looked to put his stamp on the team immediately. He’s made four signings before pre-season has even started really.
“He’s making his presence known and I’m sure the fans will be happy. He looks to play attacking football and it’ll be good to watch.
“It looks to be really exciting. Kone was a proven goalscorer in the Premier League and he did it at a side that are nowhere near the level of Everton.
“The Barcelona kid [Deulofeu] coming in looks really good. They’re hailing him as the best thing to come out of the club since Messi so it will be nice to see what he can do."
